Fever


Normal body temperature is 98.5° F (37° C). Fever means body temperature is greater than 100.4° F. Body temperatures below 100.4° F is considered a low-grade fever. A  103° F or higher temperature  is very concerning.
If body temperature is 103° F or above, then there is a dangerous underlying illness and it comes under high-grade category. The symptoms can be vomiting or diarrhea, dry mouth, earache, pale appearance, loss of appetite, irritability, headache, skin rash, dullness, stomach pain, sore throat and breathing problems.
Fever can be controlled by sponging, a lukewarm bath, rest, rehydration and medicines.
